Particle Board vs Plywood

I found a nice comparison on which common processed board would best stand up to water. In a comparison of Particle Board and Plywood.

The big surprise was how little damage there was to survey. Both were pretty much ruined but at the same time, neither had lost their essential shelf-ness.
